Nurse Practitioner

I have worked at the Castle Practice since 1993.

My roles in The Practice include:

• Nurse Practitioner having previously been Practice nurse
• Runs Nurse Practitioner clinics and Asthma clinic
• Travel medicine
• Senior Nurse
• Nurse Prescriber

In my spare time I enjoy travelling, textile crafts, walking, and family (husband and 3 grown-up children).

Torill Averill RGN, ONC, Diploma of Triage Nursing
Practice & Triage Nurse

My Roles include:

• Practice & Triage Nurse
• Running the Diabetic clinic
• Nurse Prescriber
• Family Planning

Yvonne Lord RGN
Practice Nurse

• Practice Nurse since 2002 having previously been with the District Nursing team.
• Runs the Coronary Heart Disease clinic.

Janet Tasker RGN
Practice Nurse

• Trained at Winchester and joined the Practice in June 2003 having previously worked as Ward Manager of the GP Unit at Andover Hospital.
• She has an interest in elderly care and also acts as a nurse at events such as The Farnborough Air show and Southampton Boat show.

Sue Wilson RGN, RM, BSC (hons) Open, BSc (hons)
Community Healthcare Nurse/District Nurse, Dip Triage in Primary Care, Independent/supplementary prescriber

She was a midwife for 20 years before returning to general nursing 8 years ago. She joined the practice in 2003 and now works as a triage nurse, practice nurse and as part of the practice diabetes team.

Sarah Pollard
Health Care Assistant

Having previously worked as a Receptionist at the practice, Sarah qualified as a Health Care Assistant in April 2007. Her responsibilities include

• Phlebotomy (Blood taking)
• Blood Pressure checks
• ECG monitoring
• Well person and health checks

When she has time, she enjoys a round of Golf.
