Qualified from Birmingham University in 1985 and after working in Australia, completed General practice training in Salcombe, South Devon.
Partner at the Castle Practice since 1994.

I am a board member of the local CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) and am also a committee member of the LMC (Local Medical Committee).
I am married with 3 children. My wife is a consultant anaesthetist at The Great Western Hospital, Swindon.

I qualified from Dundee University in 1985. After completing House Jobs in Scotland, I joined the army serving as a Medical Officer in the UK and Germany. I completed my GP training in 1991. After working as a civilian GP with the British Army in Germany, I settled in Wiltshire in 1995.
I am married with 3 children.
I joined the Castle Practice as a Retainee in 1998, becoming a Partner in 2000 with a ¾ time commitment.

I qualified from St Bartholomew's Hospital in 1994.
I initially trained in anaesthetics but changed to General practice, completing my training in Salisbury and at The Castle practice.
I became a salaried doctor at The Castle Practice in 2002 and a partner in 2007.
I am now the GP trainer for the practice, a GP appraiser and a mentor for other GPs.
I am married - my wife is a Consultant Psychiatrist.
My specialist interests are Asthma and COPD.
MBBS MRCP MRCGP DFSRH
I qualified from University College London Medical school in 2001 and trained in Medicine at Basingstoke hospital, Guys and Kings College hospital. I then undertook GP training in Winchester. I became a salaried doctor at The Castle Practice in 2008 and was then appointed as a Partner in 2009.
I have an interest in diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease and respiratory medicine as well as complex patients with multiple medical problems.
I also fit contraceptive implants and perform minor ops.
I teach medical students and other doctors.
I live in Winchester with my husband, a Consultant Psychiatrist, and son.

I qualified from Manchester University in 2003. I worked in Australia for 18 months in Emergency medicine and Obstetrics and have also spent time working in Cambodia. I completed my GP VTS training in Southampton and joined the practice in 2012, initially as one of the salaried doctors and I became a partner in July 2014.
I am also a Clinical Support Fellow for Rare Diseases at the Clinical Innovation and Research Centre (CIRC) at the RCGP.

I qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2001. I trained initially in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and then moved to General practice, completing my training in Portsmouth. I joined the Castle Practice in December 2007, and currently work 3 days a week in the surgery.
I also work part-time in the Department of Sexual Health at Winchester Hospital providing contraception and sexual health screening.

I qualified from Nottingham University in 2005.
I spent my Foundation Years in Nottingham before completing my GP training in Derbyshire.
I moved to Wiltshire in 2011, where I worked as a GP locum.
I joined The Castle Practice as a salaried GP in September 2016.
I am married with three young boys.
My specialist interests are Child Health, Women's Health and Care of the Elderly.
BA MBBS MRCGP
I qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2011 having completed my pre-clinical studies at Trinity College, Oxford.
I completed my first hospital rotations in East London and Essex before returning to Hampshire to embark on the Salisbury General Practice training scheme. My final year, as a registrar, was at The Castle Practice where I have since stayed, as a salaried GP.

BSc (Hons) Clinical Nursing Practice
Danielle qualified from University College London in 1996 and worked as a Sister in Accident & Emergency in London for many years. She has also worked as a nurse in the jungle in Belize and was a Clinical Skills Tutor at University College London Medical School. "Dandy" has been a Nurse Manager in charge of a central London Minor Injuries Centre and a corporate GP clinic.
Dandy enjoys the variety of triage work, has diplomas in Travel Health and Sexual Health and is the Lead Nurse at The Castle Practice.
Lizzie Lishman, RGN, is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and an Independent Nurse Prescriber.
After qualifying from Guy's Hospital in 1990, Lizzie spent a further five years in London working primarily in Accident and Emergency before working abroad in both Tanzania and Mauritius in voluntary roles.
Since 2001, she worked as a Nurse Practitioner in a local nurse-led Minor Injuries Unit.
She is married and has 3 children.
Triage / Practice Nurse
Karen Phillips, RGN, Practice and Triage Nurse trained at St Mary's Hospital, London
Prior to joining the practice in 2014, the majority of her career has been spent working as a practice nurse for the military in Germany, UK and also at NHS practices in Southern England.
Karen has gained qualifications in family planning, has a diploma in asthma and has a keen clinical interest in diabetes.
Natasha Clarke, BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing
Natasha trained at the University of Southampton where she then worked as a Coronary Care Staff Nurse before moving on to gain experience in district and general practice nursing.
Natasha works as part of our triage team and has special interests in respiratory care with a Diploma in Asthma.
RGN, Diploma in Contraception & Sexual Health
Yvonne has been a practice nurse since 2002 having previously been with the District Nursing team. She also runs the Coronary Heart Disease Clinic and Family Planning Clinic. She has contraception and sexual health appointments twice weekly.
Janet trained at Winchester and joined the practice in June 2003 having previously worked as Ward manager of the GP Unit at Andover Hospital. She has an interest in elderly care and also acts as a nurse at events such as The Farnborough Air show and Southampton Boat Show.
Audrey returned to nursing which she had previously done when living in South Africa. Her roles include:

Maggie joined us in November 2013.
I undertake phlebotomy, diabetes and NHS Health checks, 'flu and B12 injections as well as leg ulcer and wound care.
Before joining the practice in 2016, I served three years as Health Care Assistant to a Community Team. During that time I was involved with the leg ulcer clinic at Andover War Memorial Hospital. This interest continues with my involvement in Castle Practice's WellCome Clinic on Wednesday mornings.
Helen is our Clinical Pharmacist.
The midwives are based at Salisbury District Hospital and visit Tidworth on Wednesday afternoons.
The nurses visit those who are housebound for nursing purposes. Usually this means the elderly, chronically sick or those who have recently had operations. They can advise you about incontinence or other home nursing aids. Please ask a receptionist or your doctor to discuss or arrange home nursing care.

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.

NHS Physiotherapy can be arranged at Andover Hospital. This normally requires you to see one of the doctors to arrange an appointment.
The practice now has access to rapid access NHS Physiotherapy for cases of acute back pain (new onset back pain greater than 2 weeks) with Heather Beattie or Joan Valencia, based at Tidworth Leisure Centre. They are both high experienced Physios and can give up to 4 sessions per patient. They are accessed via your GP.
